Oh what a coinkydink! I used to enjoy saying that when things aligned in a way that I didn’t see coming. But surely, not everything happens randomly. In fact, I would now argue that nothing happens by chance.
We’ve all had those moments when someone crosses our mind, only for us to see them 20 minutes later. “Oh I was just thinking about you, what are the odds?” But what if in this context, there are no odds? What if it was already planned for you to run into that person? And because you are an energetic being, your energy felt them before you saw them?
Or when someone happens to say the one thing you needed to hear, without them being privy to the internal dialogue going on in your mind? Surely we cannot just pin it to telepathy. These things happen way too often to be considered as happenstance. My personal belief is that God, the ultimate Creator, knows the end from the beginning. So everyone and everything we experience in life, both good and challenging, are all purposefully part of our individual journeys.
Kindly bear in mind that this is an expression of my personal belief, not a dictatorship. I am also speaking from personal life experiences.
Back to the program.
The shift happened when things started feeling convenient. Convenient in the sense that someone would reassure me without hearing my inner turmoil or I would receive something at the exact moment that I needed it. Hindsight also played a huge part in this shift for me. Looking back on some painful memories, I often wondered why certain things bombarded me all at once, only for me to see the full picture, in hindsight. It was not random, it was simply a collection of events happening the way they needed to happen in order to bring clarity in the future.
I would like to think that is the reason why we say “what is life trying to teach me in this moment?” as opposed to “why is this happening to me?” Because in the midst of discomfort, if we take a moment to really sit in it, more often than not, it feels like there is something more. Like surely this is not a random string of insufferable events, just for the sake of.
And occasionally, we might miss the lesson. I believe there is a reason for that too. Perhaps that is why sometimes we seem to experience the same insufferable situations until we become fully aware and realise “oh, life has been trying to teach me this and I was not paying attention, but now I am”. Surely that repetition is not random.
So if you try to catch a train and you miss it. Don’t worry, you probably weren’t supposed to be on it anyway. You might find the love of your life on the next train.
But hey, what do I know?
